Of Nature and Necessity

The Selden Gallery, Norfolk VA. Norfolk’s Bureau of Cultural Affairs presents “Of Nature and Necessity” an exhibition of artwork by Anna Velkoff Freeman and Brett LaGue. Opening Reception: Friday Nov. 14, 2008 from 5 PM -7PM
Gallery Talk: Friday November 21, 2008 at 6:30 PM.
The exhibition runs from Nov. 7 - Dec. 19, 2008.
The Exhibition is a thoughtful juxtaposition of LaGue’s two dimensional work with Freeman’s three dimensional work and installation. Both artists navigate the troubled waters of the delicate balance between man and nature.

It's Only Clay

Graduate students from the LSU School of Art Ceramics Program will also be included. This is the third year for this popular exhibition of cups both functional and non-functional. It is no wonder this exhibition draws such distinguished participants from across the nation; the LSU School of Art has one of the highest ranked ceramic programs in the country according to U.S. News and World Reports.
